Teacher Qualifications

- Teacher’s Permit through the Commission on Teacher Credentialing
- AA degree in ECE/CD or 24 ECE units + 16 General Education units (or equivalent)
- 175 days (3+ hours/day) of experience within 4 years
- 18 years of age or older
- Pass background check, TB test, and pre-employment physical
- Mandated Reporter Training within 30 days of hire
Teacher Aides
Support educating children.
- 18 years of age or older
- Six months previous childcare experience desired
- Strong verbal skills required
- A basic understanding of child development and developmental milestones
- The ability to build good relationships with children, teachers, parents and aides
- Flexibility and creativity
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Good reading, writing and numeracy skills
- Customer service oriented
- Four free tickets per special exhibition
- Four single-use guest passes per year
